View Full Version : [SOLVED] How do I create a pre-install

Is there a way to create an installation script that will work with the USB startup disk?

I want to install ubuntu on a lot of computers with the same configuration and level of updates. Currently updating each (jaunty) unit is taking 5-7 hours with all the updates. I'd like to have the updates and custom packages installed from the USB.

Any ideas?

TIA

Jeff

You could remaster a cd with all the updates. Basically build your own install CD.

that way you could burn as many cds as you want and install all at the same time...
A 10 port KVM might be cool to hook them all up at once :)
Have fun!

A way of doing it all in terminal:
