Hello,
I tried to add some fonts to my Ubuntu system and it resulted in firefox and .pdf displaying lines where there should be text. (sometimes balnk space in firefox dpending on which web site). Screen shot of Google:
http://saturnine.moralluck.org/
From https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Fonts I did the following:
cd to /usr/share/fonts/truetype and made a directory.
then ran the command "sudo fc-cache -f -v"
Logged out and then in and "BOOM" screwed!
to try and undo the problem I removed the directory and reran the command and re-logged-in.
Still screwed!
Used synaptic to reinstall any anything that was already installed when I searched for "font."
Still screwed!
I've been forced to use IE6 under wine to post this.
please help this moron.
What do I do?
