I've just installed jaunty, fresh install. New hard disk. Previously I was on Hardy.

I copied over my xorg.conf file (it was exactly as I liked it, but it failed to work. After a little digging however, I found I needed to change the driver from i810 to intel.

Things still aren't as I like them though, I like to be able to zoom. And ctrl-alt-+ and - do nothing. ctrl-alt-backspace didn't either but I managed to turn that off with DontZap off. Dontzoom off however hasn't helped.

I'll attach my xorg.conf at the end.

Other problem... in Hardy, there was a neat little app that could configure compiz to turn on/off all the effects... I can't find it in Jaunty. I WANT MY CUBE BACK!
:)

The zoom thing is most important though, I like sitting back and without that I have to lean forward just to read the screen sometimes.

I've found the compiz management tool now, and got my cube back...

But it's still not switching resolutions... please, any help?

Saying it "works for me in intrepid" is not exactly helpful.
1: I'm not using your computer (hardware differences, etc)
2: I'm not using intrepid.
