Ubuntu Reinstall & raid

I have my current server that is running Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS with a software raid 5 using mdadm. I want to upgrade it from 32bit to 64bit. I'm wondering what I will need to do after the new install to have my raid working again?

The RAID configuration is pretty much independent of the OS width. However, I don't think you can easily upgrade and change from 32-bit to 64-bit; I think you'll have to reinstall.
