View Full Version : [SOLVED] finally installed but no choice to start it

i started installing ubuntu thru wubi n liked it so i uninstalled wubi n decided to install it in its own partition on a second HD, so after days of trying this n that, this newb finally got ubuntu installed and at the end of the installation i reboot BUT when it comes to select which OS to boot, my choices are:
ubuntu (old version which is no longer installed)
..and thats it...wheres my new ubuntu? how do i eliminate the existing ubuntu choice?
please help =)

ok actually i just went into my BIOS n changed the order of which the computer tries to boot, im now typing this from my new Ubuntu install, now lets find out if i can still start windows lol i hope this helps other people with similar problems OR that if theres sumthin easier or if this is a stupid way to correct the problem, that someone points it out n gives me a hand, thank u

no, not stupid...you have to tell bios what to do
