Mac Bar ??

I searched the forum but didn't find anything.

I downloaded some skins with mac bars.

look at the picture for what I'm talking about.

There are many docks available:
Avant Window Navigator (apt:avant-window-navigator)
Cairo Dock (apt:cairo-dock)
Gnome Do Docky (apt:gnome-do)

They won't remove your current panels after they are installed, so yes you'll get the "default options".

Avant is the easiest to figure out. I've tried Cairo and it has such an overwhelming lot of settings I just quit it because it was a mess.

using avant-window-navigator for some time now.

there are some things to figure out, like:

- How to make Launchers in a way they do not disappear after rebooting :)
- How to change the icon size? (it's the "bar height" which makes the icons smaller)
- How to change the icons to my iconset? (replace pixmaps or change the icons manually)

but after managing this difficulties it replaces my bottom panel and works like a charm...

Its configuration has become a lot more user-friendly in the 2.1.0 ;-)

I think what you're looking for is the Mac4Lin project with the AWN (Avant Window Manager) bar.

AWN is easier to set up.
Cairo can look better, but is harder to set up well.
...and I haven't seen the Gnome Do one, I'm gonna have a nose now! lol

AWN is easier to set up
not necessarilly, since Cairo-Dock comes with a built-in MacOSX theme, so you have nothing to do.
Less options is easier but then you remain far from the Mac bar.
