Well, I've decided that after using Linux Mint for a while, I don't want to use it anymore. I want to switch to Ubuntu. I've used Ubuntu before, it's great, I just went to Mint because I was a total newbie. I am slightly more experienced and I like Ubuntu so I need somebody to guide me: is it possible to switch from Mint to Ubuntu without losing any data? I mean, without having to move everything from a USB drive.

PS. Linux Mint is built on Ubuntu...

I would appreciate any help guys!

best way to upgrade is save your data from your mail client and web browser and what ever else to external hdd or thumb drive, scrub it and start again
