I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with an nvidia 8800 and two identical monitors. I decided to try configuring my xorg with the Nvidia settings gui and it seemed to work pretty well, I enabled twinview, and got all the info set. Recently I installed the compiz settings manager and since then when x starts, the second monitor will be blank for a few minutes or may not come on at all. The blank monitor does seem to receive a signal but the signal is a black screen. My xorg is attached. Thank you all!
