In case you did not compile Compiz manually, this will result in Compiz
failing to run.

What is my next move? I have tried just about everything and nothing seems to work. I have it all installed via synaptic package manager. Most of the programs don't start when I click on them or alt+f2 them.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I looked through that thread. I got it to work for a little bit. As soon as I restarted my computer it went away.

I still need help. This problem does not seem to go away. Does anyone know how to compile compiz manually?
