I'd like to overwrite my linux installation with Vista Ultimate 64-bit. When Vista starts its setup it says it can't find any hard drives. When I installed linux I chose to use the whole disk. How do I make it so that Vista will see the hard drive and format it?

The computer is already backed up so erasing everything is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi, boot a Ubuntu live cd and use gparted (System>Admin>Partition Editor) and delete your Ubuntu partitions, then try installing vista.
