Hi,

I would like to have Firefox 3.5, but if I install it via synaptic, I get this Shiretoko s...stuff, which is not capable of moving tabs nor I can find the settings for cookies?

Why can't I just install a regular Mozilla Firefox 3.5?

That shiretoko is regular :) Numerous debates are already been. You are late :)

this is just one way to install it.

sudo apt-get install firefox-3.5

Grmblfzk... ok, forget the thing with the movable tabs, that seems to be a bug and it's gone now, but where are the settings for the cookies?

go to meni tools/preferences/privacy
now click on "shiretoko will: remember history" and select from combo "use custom settings for history"
after this, buttons for cookies will appear like a magic
:)

Thank you, pretty logic, if you tell it like this. :-)

After some googling, I was able to download 'shiretoko' yesterday night. I installed all my plugins and made some bookmarks.

However, today when I started up my computer, I got a little blank icon, and every time I'd click it, it'd say that "blah blah blah shiretoko doesn't correspond to a link" (or something like that).

Why has it all of a sudden disappeared? I tried to reinstall it, but I got the info that "there is a conflicting program".

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. :P

*Edit*
I'm new to Ubuntu, I'm running 9.04JJ. (64bit)

When I right click my shiretoco icon it point to command "firefox-3.5 %u"

maybe this will help you.
