What a mess...

ok open synaptic package manager
go to settings then repositories


under Ubuntu Software tab make sure only first 4 are checked
under Third-Party Software tab uncheck all.
under Updates only have the first two checked
close window
click Reload.

that might calm it down a bit.

but you have a couple Jaunty entries that need to be removed manually.
in a terminal type this

cd /etc/apt
sudo gedit sources.list

once the editor is opened delete the jaunty lines.
also you might want to delete the thinkgos lines (unless you are running gOS) Let me know if you are.
once those lines are removed, save the file.
at the prompt, type :



sudo apt-get update

Yes, or adjust them so you are not using the "jaunty" repository from that site.
It is best to stay with the Distro version you are running with I see as "Hardy"
Having packages built for other versions will mess up your system many times.

edit those two lines, remove the word "jaunty" and replace with "hardy"
then do


sudo apt-get update

That should take care of it.
