hi all...i'm struggling half death right now to understand batch programming (windows). My question is, can i use bash programming guide to learn batch since lack of batch programming guide?i found those two language have similarities ...any good guide please...i'm following this guide (http://www.allenware.com/icsw/icswidx.htm#Lesson2) which i don't sure either it is worth or not as i don't find it is practical in real life.Noted that i'm familiar with C,C++,a bit python,java,etc..and moving on to batch as my job required me to do so...please help :D

No. Bash or batch by themselves are pretty useless; it is the tools they are able to command that make them useful. And those tools are not exactly available on both platforms.

Batch is fairly limited AFAIK, so most online resources simply don't go much beyond listing a bunch of commands, flags, and what they do.
