In one of my previous Linux distros (I think OpenSuse) there was a transparent terminal. When using the command line, you could have solid or transparent backgrounds with a range of colours and different types of transparency. Does anyone know what this terminal was called? Is it available via apt install?

thanks,
tim

You can create a new profile with Edit > Profiles and configure it there.

To give you the detail of what Master Yoda answered:

1. Right-click on any space in the Terminal
2. point to Profiles then select Profile Preferences
3. under Background tab, tick the Transparent background option then
4. adjust the slider until your desired transparency

Thanks for both replies. The information was really helpful and sorted my problem.
