A while back, which was about 2 months ago in acuality, I looked up "Linux for dreamcast". I found a website on sourceforge, the last news article was from 2004. I have come to this page today, and found that the project owner had updated his page today! The latest release finally uses the 2.6 kernel! :)

Similar. It needs to use less ram, because the dreamcast came out in 1999 in the states. To give you an idea.

I've used Linux on Dreamcast with my keyboard before, starting up X and running twm (IIRC). Still have the CD somewhere in a case.

Just to give people an idea, you're running Linux on a 200MHz SH-4 CPU with 16MB of RAM.

I might just look into this again and burn a CD just to see how it runs now its being updated again.

I wonder if you can update the ram. That would rock :3

Someone comes back and takes responsibility... after 5 years? That's the weirdest story I've heard all week.

But it's great. I am going to burn a cd of this dc-linux, and test it :)
