Xubuntu Desktop Switcher

SOmehow my kids changed the display on my Xubuntu desktop switcher to display 6 desktops, and instead of showing a little representation of what's in the window, it shows the desktop number. Any idea how to change this back? I've searched and haven't been able to find anything.

OK, I fgured out how to put it back to 4 desktops, (XFCE Workspace settings) but it still has the numbers in them.

on your panel, do you have the Graphical Pager item?

XFCE has two default pagers.
Seems like your graphical pager (shows those nice representations of the windows open on each desktop) may have gotten replaced by the desktop switcher (numbered).

You can just delete the desktop switcher, add the graphical pager, and hopefully things will be back to normal.
