Hi There,
I was given on old IMAC Power PC G4(700MHZ) and I wanted to install xubuntu on it as it's not very fast, it has 384MB PC133 ram which I am upgrading with a stick of 512MB and a 20 GB ATA/ IDE HDD which I will also upgrade to a larger size.
My Questions ar these:
1. Will Xubuntu install on MAC hardware OK?
2. Is Xubuntu the right choice or is there more lightweight distro that will run with such limited resources?
3. Is there a distro that has a feature similar to ready boost where I can utilize external memory storage as ram so that it maigh run a little faster?
Bearing in mind that it will only be used by my son for playing games on the internet.
Thanks,
Jamesy.
