View Full Version : Thoughts about Krusader ? Do you think it 's a really nice program & like it ?

(Better than the famous TotalCommnander for Windows?)

Concerning my point of vue, a lot of things are missing with this program. Crashes are rather not rare & lot of features present in total commander could be added.

Anyhow, it's the only one for managing files rather fast.

I'd rather just use midnight commander in a terminal, or raw shell commands.

I still use total commander ...

For isntance, how can u have / make a virtual file containing all the files with file size of alll your home and/or work cd's?

Use it all the time. I found 1.70.0 beta2 worked better than the standard 1.60 in Ubuntu in relation to unexpected crashes.

I'll try to install it ...

I recall previous versions of krusader less buggy under debian linux ... That could also come from Ubuntu linux and use of krusader maybe giving more difficulties to the program to run "normally" ... dont know...

There's a Ubuntu deb in the Development section here:

So 1.70.0 just went final and there is a Ubuntu deb but it is for dapper for some reason. I compiled it on breezy easily enough and you can grab the deb from here:

I found I had to log into kde first before using it in gnome. Don't understand why but it works.
