I am experimenting with Ubuntu since I wanted to learn. I installed ubuntu 9.04 and today I tried to update to alpha 9.10. All went well except when it rebooted, it failed and asked me to report. My attempt to report failed. I tried the grub options Ubuntu Kernel (Development branch) Kernel 2.6.31generic and its recovery, both of which failed. However I could boot into the system after I ran the recovery of Kernel 2.6.28 running the fsck. But the system has slowed down too much! Since I am noob, I request some knowledgeable member to help me solve this problem for me in step by step manner. If I can get back into earlier 9.04 it will be OK, I can wait for official update. Thanks in advance.

Hi, next time, back up your machine prior to upgrading: www.clonezilla.org. for now, reinstall 9.04
