I'm in Quake 2 Video setup... Lets see I got OPEN SDL, OPEN GL, Server X11, Software SDL for choices.

I got OPEN SDL to work ONCE! but no sound while using it and it crashed repeated times. But the graphics were out standing! OPEN GL was like Quake 3.20, but I have 3.21 and its suppose to have shadow effects and blood stain effect, not to mention other nice weapons fire muzzle effects. Ok, I decided to work on fixing the sound, end result was it crashing and never letting me go back. So I deleted all the installed files and configurations for the setup. Now, nothing of quake2 is left, so I do the install again. Well trying to use OPEN SDL or OPEN GL, I get the following message in terminal.

XIO: fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server ":0.0"
after 6465 requests (6463 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
-> Red 1.300, Green 1.300, Blue 1.300
<- Red 1.000, Green 1.000, Blue 1.000

At this point the game crashes and the only way to play it is with the X11 standard and well it looks like crap.

Any suggestions?
