Ubuntu is great OS but needs some polish though
attached 2 images of ubuntu icons now and how they should look
please accept this to ubuntu 10.4 idea
we also need to minimize the horizontal and vertical inter icon spaces so it fits more icons on small screens and bigger equal icons /thumbnail size will make the icons look so organized

This has been asked about before. Assuming that you are using Gnome, then the default icon size specified in Nautilus' preferences, is the one used for desktop icons. Try increasing the default size and see if it meets your needs. :)

Thank you but i know that i want it to be automatic and default and th icon spacing
will be smaller and the icon should be as big as thumbnail and if i did as you all will be bigger thumbnail icons space

Whereas the next person along completely disagrees with you and wants them to be smaller and closer together... ;)

Anyway, this doesn't really sound like a support question. In which case this thread is misplaced.

i dont care if thy all are small as i can zoom but if some are big and some are small this is the bad part
