Hi, new to Ubuntu and installed Ubuntu 9,04 from a CD on a new partition on my old pc to try it out. Now I would like to change the installation and reinstall Ubuntu and have the installation to overwrite the windows installation, But have not been able to find my way back to the screen where you make this chioce. Do I have to remove my current Ububtu installation and start over or can I change this from within Ubuntu?

Since you want to reinstall Ubuntu, that implies overwriting the current installation. You can't do it while the current installation is running, and need to use the installation cd. That said, deleting your Windows partition from Ubuntu is not a problem, just install gparted from the repositories. If all you want is to delete the Windows partition, gparted may safe you time and effort of reinstalling, and you could use the freed partition for storage and backups.
