View Full Version : [gnome] Turn external display screen back ON

September 20th, 2009, 08:46 AM
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) on my laptop, but prefer to use an external 22" LCD monitor. It all worked fine, until I turned off the LCD screen via Preferences->Display, in the monitor section i clicked off. Now I don't seem to be able to get it back ON on the external monitor, although it still works fine on my laptop monitor.
Also, when i log in using command line (CTRL + F1), it does display on my external monitor. The problem is with Xserver (I guess).
Can any one help me with this, i've been reading alot of threads, all suggesting how to turn your external monitor OFF, but not ON.
