Avoiding madwifi recompile after kernel update

Hey guys,

I've got an aspire one netbook for which the only way I can get the wifi to work is to compile madwifi every time i update the kernel. It's not a big deal, but im wondering...surely there must be some way to get around doing this with every kernel update? Maybe to get this to recompile automatically? Any ideas?
