I'm absolutely new to ubuntu or linux in general. But decided to give it a try, that was several months ago... and I haven't been back to microsoft once! Needless to say I like it!

But now for the problem at hand, it took me some trouble to get the wireless on my laptop working, but I did find the required driver and got it running. (it's a broadcom corporation BCM4311) And it had been running more or less fine for a long time. (had some issues with the network manager disconnecting at random intervals)

I never use the hibernate function, and recently pressed the hibernate button on the laptop for the first time, it went into hibernate... and when it came back, no more wireless! Even after a reboot it remains missing. A wired connection will still work.

Anyone got any idea?

p.s. as I said I'm an absolute linux/ubuntu noob and subsequently won't get most of the technical jargon.

Anyone? I'd hate to have to resort to drastic measures before I get some tips!
