I am new to ubuntu ( just 1 week ). It is superb . My problem is -

To do manual partition , when i log in to ubuntu , update manager comes after clicking install updates , it says like -'' this update requires 170mb of free hard disk space only 10 mb available , please delete temporary files and try again .

You may have the 2.5GB install error. Access a terminal and type

df -h

Post back results. We can try to fix that and make your ubuntu experience better :)
