Hello, right now ima say that i am not a techy(yet) and this is the first time im using any version of Linex so if its possible, try to put the answers in enough detail for someone like me to understand :)

I just installed Ubuntu(the latest version) onto my laptop(its a toshiba) this morning. My (wireless)internets speed has decreased and its been fluxuating alot(it was just fine when i was using windows(and by fluxuating i mean sometimes it just stops, and sometimes its really slow, and sometimes it goes at an ok speed, the speed it started at in ubuntu)). So if anyone has any ideas as to help this problem pls feel free to post.

Thanks in advance.

You could always try XFCE, which is just like ubuntu, just made to run faster on older PC's.

Here is also a list of Alternatives to programs.
