Last night, I got a pop up showing updates were ready to install. I installed the updates and a reboot was required. I rebooted the computer and came in this morning and found any application needing using sound locks up and has to be killed.
The worst part is it leaves no traces (I can find) why the application hangs. I tried searching logs and running the application from the cli.
I spent the better part of the day searching the forms and the web for clues on what to do.
The computer is using HDA Intel (Alsa) for sound.
