Problem installing

I'm trying to install Wubi on my laptop and I have both the executable and the iso file of the corresponding versions. But when I try to install it just extracts the files and then automatically shuts down the installer. I don't get the prompt to reboot and if I manually reboot I don't get to choose anything, goes right into windows.

I have a full c:\ubuntu folder full of stuff but I can't boot it.
