Average Bandwidth Per month

I'm working on setting up a Ubuntu lab using internet from cellular modems.

This means that the bandwidth is being payed per megabyte.

I'd like to keep the computers updated, just so that they can basically be self-sustaining, but I'm worried about the bandwidth required for updates.

Can anyone give a guesstimate on the average bandwidth spent for updates per month?

Well I just turned my laptop on that hasn't being on for about 2-3 weeks and it needed 87 meg of updates, however it depends on what applications u have installed I would guess.

don't know about bandwidth, but you could make a compromise and set your updater for just security updates
