I'm new to this OS and been having a lot of trouble with email. I can send mail, but I just tried (again) to receive mail from my main computer with no luck. Honestly, I've tried so many corrections I'm getting all mixed up.
How about if I just dump Evolution (no idea how to do that now) and add Thunderbird. I saw 2 places where I could change over, tried them both, and neither worked.
Can I get help with a delete of E and install of TB?
Thanks

I messed up and had to go through and redo everything again for the umteenth time. As it turned out I made a stupid mistake.
Because of what you said about switching from Tbird, I'm going to see if I can get used to this programs workings. Thanks regardless!

In the terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) type

sudo apt-get install mozilla-thunderbird
I never did remove Evolution; just don't use it.

I was partial to Thunderbird because it contained a news reader which Evolution didn't have -- at least at the time.
