I have a latop with an ubuntu partion and an XP partition on it. I don't use the XP parition much, but I do come across ocassional software that I need that are windows only (Firmware upgrades and calibrations software for some of electronics)
My ubuntu installation has laways been a little on the slow side, so I decided that it might be nice to upgrade from ubuntu 8.10 to xbuntu 9.04 for the laptop. The live CD seems to run better, and I figured I might as well give it a shot. So I copied all my essential files to an external HD, figuring I would wipe the ubuntu partion and restart with a new xubuntu
However, when I start the xbuntu install program it does not allow me to select and replace a partition for the xubuntu install. Is there a way I can replace the ubuntu partion with xubuntu without having to repartition the whole disck and reinstall ALL my OS and software?
Thanks in advance
