Hello everyone,

I just downloaded this theme (Glassy Bleu Gtk2 Theme Deb File) from here
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=100259&forumpage=1 , I installed the DEB file but after that I don't know how to activate the theme.Can you help me?

do you have emerald installed? if you do, just drag the deb file into emerald

emerald is a theme manager. install it by sudo apt-get install emerald

I dragged the deb file in emerald but it shows me this error: Invalid theme file , does not end in .emerald

Didn't you say it's a gtk theme not emerald.
Open System > preferences > appearance and click on theme. Themes installed you just have to change themes.

No problem.The .deb file installed the theme.
If you download other themes in the form of a compressed file eg. tar.gz
just drag and drop in the appearance window to install.
Sometimes you will download a file which contains an emerald or metacity theme as well as a gtk theme
and you have to unpack this file first to get to the compressed gtk theme.
If you are running compiz, install fusion-icon.
It will make things clearer in regards to
window managers.........eg compiz, metacity
window decorators......eg gtk, emerald (different types of themes)
