Glade opens files differently ubuntu/windows

Hi,
did anybody notice that opening with the glade-windows version a .glade file created with the glade-ubuntu version all the vboxes are displayed as hboxes and viceversa?
I need this because at job I can't install ubuntu.
Is there a workaround to be able to work on a .glade file from either ubuntu and windows?
I installed virtualbox but the virtual machine screen is maximum 800x600 and I can't work like that.

The virtual machine screen isn't capped at 800x600; but to get more you should install the virtual box guest additions on the guest system (among those a fake graphics card driver to trick the guest into displaying higher than 800x600 resolutions).

After installed the Guest Additions the resolution was ok, virtualbox is really cool!
