Hi,
I'm looking for a tool that can create a "snapshot" of all the installed packages in my system (i.e. record their names and versions) and that's able to "rollback" to a saved snapshot (i.e. reinstall/downgrade the packages to the recorded version,uninstall any extra ones, install uninstalled ones, etc.).
I need such a thing for the following scenario: let's say I want to test a repository for the unstable version of X or for some product, whatever :) ; this will install some very unstable packages (drivers,libraries) and it turns out that my system will not work properly anymore... :lolflag: So I want a quick way to undo those changes and have my original packages back.
So, are there any tools suitable for this? Or can you suggest another way to do things for this scenario?
