I am doing a Ubuntu MID install on an 4 gb eee pc that seemed to have lost it's original OS, and decided to just install Ubuntu MID, and everything seems to work fine, the OS runs live. However when i try to install it gets about 5% into the partitioning process, then craps out and says: "The attempt to mount file system with type ext4 in SCSI2 (0,0,0), partition #1 (sda) at / failed."
it then offers to let me to go back or to continue to the partition-er, but it can't seem to detect the HD. I have tried it with ext3, and with and with out swap, mistakenly believing that might help, and i'm at a lost for what to do. i have even tried setting the os in the bios as installed or starting
please help
