Ive got a weird,,, and silly problem on my hands....

I have a eye nerve problem that can't be cured by glasses, so i normally place one arm on the keyboard to keep my head level with the laptop screen. Im used to using a fullscreen monitor (don't need my arm for that), but mine is broken (+ i bring my laptop everywhere) so im compensating for the wide-screeness by putting my arm on the front of the laptop. my other hand is using the mouse thats attached to my laptop. a lot of times, the mouse randomly clicks stuff because my arm is lying on the touchpad. (theirs not really any other place to put it)

any ideas on how to get rid of this unfortunate habit?
(and no, sorry i can't stand firefox opening weird links wherever i browse...

Probably would be good to post things like this in the main support categories.

I'm not quit sure of the path on English, but must be something like System -- Preferences -- Mouse there's an option to deactivate the touchpad.
