View Full Version : [ubuntu] Do i need to type all kinds of stuff to make this work???

Sorry the languages at first!

Do i need to type in all kinds of commands everytime i need to install something?
Cant just run a java or adobe reader or run my online banking..

Im not a code guy, i teach people how to drive cars and motorcycles!

The question is--- should i go back windows? this is a hard one for me to crack cause i like the ideas of this penguinstuff :P


hope someone can tell me not to be a codeallkindsofstuffallthetimeguy :D

No, command line is optional anymore these days.
The main reason why most give out command line instructions is that its easier to give someone a command then to do a all out GUI tutorial.
But personally I give people GUI tutorials when I can

Application - Add/Remove or System-Admin-Synaptic

The command line is just another method of doing what these graphical methods can do. (In general terms)

Thanx guys :) that made it easier, but i just checked everythings before adding a hole lots of stuff.. hmmm... guess i need to read that beginners book! though i cant make it open :D lol .. thnx anyway

I tried to open that book but it says a lot about error when i try to open it.
Just like when i try my eset smart security thing.. ill give it another try one day when my head isnt so tires :D

As long as you know what the commands do you can always copy them and then paste them into a terminal window.
