I installed Ubuntu studio and I liked it but after a few installs, I still couldnt figure out how to access the files on the ntfs partitioned second hard drive so I reformatted and installed windows 2000 again and now the drive shows up but when I click it, it says that its not formatted. When I installed ubuntu, I never formatted the second hard drive, so why is the ntfs part not showing up? Is there some software that can correct it without deleting everything? The data should be there but windows wont recognize it. Is there a way to just change the part that makes it recognizable without formatting? I have lots of important work and family pictures on it. Please tell me it's not all lost.
