I have updated my system (Jaunty) via update manager and after the reboot there was no gui. I tried all the xorg.conf files (/etc/X11) but to no avail. I am using an HP Mini Note and thus far I had no problems with the display. I need to access my system as i don't know how to use the commandline to copy my files to a shared directory on a network. I need my evolution data files as well as the folders in my home folder. I can then do a re installation. Can anyone assist me please? I have spent more than a day trying but to no avail and i cannot do this for another day.:(
