Hi!
I just don't understand why there isn't this package in the ubuntu tree ? will gnome 2.10 include this feature or something like that ?
What is the "universe" tree ? It's the equivalent of the unstable debian tree or it's directly the unstable debian tree ?
And how is it possible that tags insertion are working fine on firefox ?!?!?

I believe numlockx is in the universe repo. The universe repo is software from debian but is unsupported by ubuntu. By unsupported, they mean that there will be no security updates to packages in universe.

It was a snapshot of debian ubstable from about april 2004. there hasn,t been many changes since then. Those package in "universe" just work 99% of the time (Only had 1 bad).

I installed it, turned it on as described... but nothing.
It works when I invoke it form a terminal though.

thanks for your replies ! i thought the universe tree was less supported than what you said (99% is a good ratio :))
