This is my first real attempt at working with Linux. I just built a new computer and thought I'd try Ubuntu instead of just installing windows again. But I might have bitten off more then I can chew.
I currently have no sound. My sound card is the Turtle Beach Riviera 5.1 Channels 24-bit 48KHz PCI Interface Sound Card, I bought it here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829118103&cm_sp=MyNewegg-_-RctViewDC-_-Pst01Descrip in case you wanted more specs.
My motherboard is ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard and my CPU AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ955FBGIBOX, not sure if any of that helps
I'm running 9.04, and as far as I can tell its all updated. I tried searching for drivers in the package manager and found nothing. The Turtle Beach site does not support linux drivers, just to make my life that much harder. I feel like a zuber nub, but I'm at a loss. I hear wonderful things about the Linux Community, here is my first addition to it. Thanks guys!
