The graphics card on my Jaunty PC failed yesterday, now I need recommendations on what to replace it with, will be picking it up tomorrow/Tuesday. I had a GeForce 8800GT 512MB, and I am looking at replacing it with either a GeForce 9800GT 1GB or a GeForce GTS 260 896MB.

So which would be the better choice for 3D graphics support and performance, and also running Dual DVI monitors? I see both cards have threads with people having trouble configuring them, so also is one more reliable then the other to configure?

Research what is the situation on drivers first before buying

I ended up getting the GeForce GTS 260, driverwise it seems to have installed smooth as teflon coated glass. It's working very well for me. Physically its a freaken big card, I had to make some room for it despite the fact that the advertised length was identical to my old 8800GTS, but no worries on that front. I had a harddrive mounted in one of my 5.25 bays that I was not using so I swapped it out for my OS drive and all is good.
