Errors on apt-get after upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04

I have a stock 8.10 image on a Xen machine from Prgmr.com that I am trying to upgrade to 9.04. I followed the instructions on the Ubuntu website (http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading) and ran do-release-upgrade, and the process appeared to complete normally. However, I cannot apt-get install many of the packages on this machine that I can on a stock 9.04 that was installed from disc. For instance:


root@(none):~# apt-get install xcache

E: Couldn't find package xcache


I thought it might be bad repositories, so I replaced /etc/apt/sources.list with the contents from a fresh install (http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-965314.html), but still no dice.

Why won't apt-get work like a 9.04 stock install after upgrading to 9.04 from 8.10?

Package you are trying to install is in the universe repository.Check in your source list do you have universe enabled( without # sign at beginning of the line).Or you can use this one
