Windows NT/2000/XP (using Grub)

After a while of loading hardware, but ends up halting after loading for a while. last thing that's happening is ..

'Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
- Boot args (car /proc/cmdline)
- Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
- Check root = (did the system wait for the right device?)
- Missing modules (cat /proc/modules7; ls /dev)
ALERT /dev/rd/0 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

... and there it stops.

Install from USB Memory Stick Booting

i've followed the instructions step-by-step. When i try to boot from it it. 'cannot boot'

any thoughts?
