View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't get past 1024x768 resoltion through VGA on my Asus 1000HE

I tried to hook up my external monitor the other day to do some image editing in Gimp, as my 10" screen on my Asus 1000HE just wasn't cutting it. While I was able to get my video to output fine, I wasn't able to get the resolution up to 1280x1024. I was only able to output to 1024x768, and at best it looked "cloudy". I'm not sure why it won't let me use the higher resolution. Is there anyway I can get my monitor to output at a higher resolution, or am I stuck? The monitor I am outputting to is a 19" LCD with a 4:3 format.
