Odd Fan Issue...

So I was transfering my fan to my living room the other day and when I started it, it was grinding then I started smelling the burnt wires. Needless to say, I unplugged it and left for m parents because I didnt feel safe and it was hot. How little we realize things can go awry in the slightest little of situations...

Always better to be safe rather than sorry.
I`ve witnessed/heard the horrible heart breaking results that can occur when dodgy electrical appliances & their connections go wrong.

Very much so..Its just wierd my mom said "we'll see if it can be fixed" and I tried explaining to her "mom if its omitting a burning odor, its what we call fubar or not going to be fixed"
