remove main menu icon

How can I remove the main menu icon? The one on the left from 'Applications', the ubuntu logo in the default icon theme?

Hi,

Try this:

System->Preferences->Appearance.

After that, click on the Interface tab and uncheck the first checkbox.
I hope this will help.

It's a possibility. Too bad it removes also icons inside the menu.
