Can anyone confirm if the ATI 9.8 drivers are working solid with the 2.6.31 kernel?

Just FYI
ATI Catylist 9.9 drivers dont work with the new kernel 2.6.31.

O well I got the kernel compiled for when they do release a working package.

The 9.10 driver does work with the 2.6.31 kernel. A pre-release version is in the karmic repos.

Ubuntu 9.10/Catalyst 9.10 stuff has been there for days. :)

You are a great person; I have spent hours trying to get the fglrx drivers working again in 2.6.31 with no avail, wish I had seen your posting earlier. Installing the karmic xorg.fglrx.* drivers from packages.ubuntu.com worked like a charm.
