Desktop Effects Kubuntu Help

Im trying to get my desktop cube working in kde as it does in gnome which is where i've spend most of my time previously.
I've installed kde-compiz and turned on the correct settings but it just wont let me have more than 2 windows even when i have four desktops available
If i have two desktops available it works fine but any more than 2 and well it wont do a cube it just does it doesnt even do the effects when i click the second windows just fades out to my wallpaper. anyone help

I'd uninstall compiz and use KDE desktop effects. They're more stable and are integrated into the KDE window manager.
